Strange vehicles: Peel P50

Peel P50

The Peel P50 microcar comes from the Isle of Man off the English coast. The P50 was manufactured by Peel engineering in the early 1960's.

The diminutive P50 is 135 cm long by 99 cm wide and is powered by a 49 cc DKW fan cooled engine.

The P50 has 3 forward gears and no reverse, instead it comes equipped with a reversing "handle", literally a handle by which the 60 kg car can be dragged by.
