The 2006 - 2011 Aprilia Tuono 1000R was the second generation
version of the bike. Based on the RSV 1000 R superbike, the
Tuono ditches the fairings to make a naked sports bike.
Under the skin, which in the case of the Tuono 1000 R is very
minimal, both bikes are virtually identical. The only difference
to the chassis being the rear suspension doesn't have the full
adjustment of the RSV 1000 R.
Powering the Aprilia Tuono 1000 R is a 998
cc, 60-degree V-twin engine which
produces an impressive 133 horsepower and 86 lb-ft of torque.
