The Ducati 749S was the middle of the range version of the 749.
It featured an upgraded engine in comparison to the standard
machine, but it lacked some of the race-derived components fitted
to the 749R.
Like all 749s the 749S is based around a gorgeous steel trellis
frame. The 749S benefits from an improved suspension setup to
balance out the increase in power.
As a further bonus, the upgraded motor of the 749S has also
proved to be more reliable than the slightly weedier motor of
the standard 749.
