                | The Ducati Monster 796 is the latest addition to the long and
diverse Monster range from Ducati. Sitting between the Monster
695 and Monster 1100 the new bike is designed to offer the best
of both worlds. So it's a bit more grunty than the little one,
and a bit less intimidating and bulky than the big one.

The Monster 796 is fitted with the micro-bikini fairing and
single seat cover as standard and features a new seat designed
with a comfort-enhancing shape, further accentuated with stylish
red stitching. Additional new features also include a rear sub-frame
constructed ready to accept optional grab-handles for the pillion.

The riding position has also been revised for the Monster 796
by reducing the seat height 10mm (compared to the Monster 1100)
to 800mm (31.5 inches), whilst the handlebars have been raised
by 20mm. These changes, along with a redesigned seat, are supposed
to make the riding position a little more comfortable for longer
                  journeys.

Powering the Ducati Monster 796 is the brand new Desmodue 796
                  engine which produces 84 hp (64kW) @ 8250rpm, and 58lb-ft (78Nm)
                  @ 6250rpm of torque.
