The Harley-Davidson VRSCA V-Rod which was launched in 2001 was
a completley new bike from the ground up.
The V-Rods styling stood out as being contemporary when compared
with other models in the Harley-Davidson lineup. The engine
was the first liquid cooled V-twin from the company and was
thoroughly modern in design. It featured four valves per cylinder,
twin camshafts, and a fuel injection system.
The rounded, flowing chassis of the Harley-Davidson V-Rod is
formed from steel-tube, and wraps itself neatly around the bikes
components. The bodywork is made up of lightweight brushed aluminium
panels.
