The Honda CBR900RR Fireblade which was introduced in 1992 was a highly capable sports bike which raised the bar for all other manufacturers. This highly capable machine straddled the divide between 600cc bikes and litre machines.

The CBR900RR Fireblade was a project led by the Honda engineer Tadao Bada. He felt that by using a chassis borrowed from one of the company's 600cc machines, and equipping it with a 900 cc inline 4 cylinder engine he could make something quite special. He was right.

The Honda CBR900RR Fireblade had a great power-to-weight ratio which allowed for fast acceleration and a 164 mph top speed, and an extremely capable and well designed chassis which provided agile and dynamic handling.
