                | The 2010 Honda VFR1200F is one of the most anticipated Honda
products in recent years. The bike not only previews Honda motorcycle's
new design language, but it also features Honda's new V-4 engine.

The VFR1200F is the replacement model for the VFR800,
and uses some of the styling cues first seen on the Honda
V4 concept from 2008. Except where the V4 was slim and sleek
the VFR1200F is a little more portly and bulbous.

Weighing in at a fairly hefty 267 kgs (588 lb), the VFR1200F's
1,237 cc, 76 degree, V-4 engine with electronic throttle control
                  produces 172 horsepower @ 10,000 rpm, and 129 Nm of torque @
8,750 rpm . This is mounted in a twin-spar cast aluminum vacuum
molded frame which is finished in a matt black color to disguise
it against the engine and bodywork.

The VFR1200F's standard transmission is a six-speed gearbox.
An optional extra is a dual-clutch, semi-automatic transmission
which allows for full-auto mode, or manual clutchless shifting
via finger-operated paddles. Final drive is via shaft.

The broad fairing and relatively high windscreen should provide
plenty of protection against buffeting - although the bloated
proportions seem to have given rise to the 'Shamu' nickname.

The 2010 Honda VFR1200F is available in red, white or silver
                  paintwork.
