The
Honda X11 is a naked sports bike based on the mechanicals of
the CBR1100XX Blackbird.
The X11's styling is characterised by the enormous exposed engine
and the gigantic radiator housing. The design of the radiator
shroud has two benefits, firstly it affords the rider some extra
wind protection, and secondly it provides downforce to the front
wheel at speed.
While the chassis and engine of the Honda X11 are borrowed from
the Blackbird, there are some minor differences between the
two. The X11's engine produces slightly less power, and the
intentional removal of one of the balance shafts gives the X11
a slightly rougher feel - in keeping with the bikes appearance.
