Tuning firm NCR are responsible for the exotic naked racer that
is the Macchia Nera.
The lightweight, 4 kg, titanium frame is built around a race
tuned Ducati 998 Testastretta engine, this potent powerplant
is mated to a programmable electronic sequential gearbox complete
with traction control.
NCR hopes to start producing the Macchia Nera by 2007, differences
betweeen the prototype and production bikes will include a headlight
assembly and a slight weight increase - with reduced manufacturing
cost as a by product.
