years after Allard ceased production of the J2X it was reborn.
In 2006 Allard Motor Works Inc. based in Montreal began producing
the J2X Mk1 in limited numbers, around 100 per year.
The Allard J2X Mk1, while classic in appearance, has undergone
extensive engineering work to bring it into the 21st Century.
Work mainly centered around safety, reliability, comfort and
handling. The body combines aluminium with composite materials,
and the cockpit was stretched by 4 inches.
Power for the Allard J2X Mk1 comes from a 5.7 litre, 350 horsepower
GM V8, with Chrysler and Cadillac V8s available options.
