The Ariel Atom, built by Ariel vehicles based in Somerset, England,
is one of the most succesful small scale production sports cars
of all time.

To help keep the Atom's weight as low as possible, bodywork
is all but forgotten, the only panels used cover the nose and
wheels. Available with a range of different engines, the top
spec being a Honda Type-R unit. In the US, Ariel offers the
Atom with a supercharged GM 4 cylinder.
One of the most easily recognised cars, ever, the Ariel Atom
continues to be built to the same formula with which it began.
