The
2006 Crossfire SRT6 is powered by a hand-built 3.2-liter supercharged
V-6 engine boasting 330 horsepower (246 kW) and 310 lb-ft of
torque. The 18-valve V-6 engine features a helical supercharger
supplied by IHI and a water-to-air intercooler that helps deliver
a relatively flat torque curve, delivering 90 percent of peak
torque from 2,300 to 6,200 rpm. It also features a unique SRT
engine cover. Output from the engine is handled by an upgraded
five-speed automatic transmission with AutoStick.
The distinctive styling of the Chrysler Crossfire has recieved
both praise and contempt in almost equal amounts. Each to his
own.
