The
Evans 486 LM is essentially the same as the Evans 386 LM, with the exception of a different nose
section which includes a splitter and race legal tow eye. The
styling of the nose is different, and having less overhang makes
for a car more at home on public roads. The specifications are
identical to the Evans 386 LM except for overall length and
price. As with the 3 series car, an optional 427 cu. in. engine
( model designation 487 ) with 550 hp is available.
