The
Vemac RD180 is the Japanese answer to the British Lotus
Elise. Powered by a Honda 2.0 litre VTEC engine developing
220 horsepower at 8000 rpm the RD180 reaches 60 mph in 5.6 seconds
and goes on to a top speed of 140 mph.
Like the Elise the Vemac RD180 is a drivers car which does away
with any unneccessary luxuries which might add weight. As such
features like the radio, heater and air conditioning are options
on the fiberglass bodied RD180 and power steering is unavailable.
