The Volkswagen Crafter Atacama concept is a taster of
the new workman's van from Volkswagen. The Crafter Atacama
concept would be positioned against the likes of the Mercedes
Sprinter, Fiat Ducato (See Fiat
Ducato Truckster concept) and the Ford Transit.
Power for the Volkswagen Crafter Atacama concept comes
from a 5 cylinder turbo
diesel producing around 160 horsepower and 260 ft/lbs
of torque, connected to a 4 wheel drive transmission.
Aside from the production work van, if the Crafter Atacama
concept is well received then Volkswagen have hinted a
limited run of just 100 vehicles could follow.
