The
Aston Martin DB7 V12 Vantage was introduced in 1999 as an upgrade
to the 6 cylinder DB7. Available with either a six speed
manual or a five speed automatic, the far superior DB7 V12 Vantage
effectivley killed the 6 cylinder DB7.
In 2002 the Aston Martin DB7 V12 GT was unveiled. This
car replaced the DB7 V12 Vantage until the end of the model
lifespan.
