Central to the Bristol Fighter S is the character created by a 8-litre V 10 engine. By using a large, basic naturally aspirated engine Bristol have reduced maintenance requirements and the problems often associated with smaller capacity engines running on the limit. A 6 speed close ratio manual gearbox is standard with an automatic transmission optional.

A front mid-engine layout gives a 52% rearward weight bias for improved traction, handling balance and responsiveness.

The exterior is made from hand beaten aluminium, Mixed with modern carbon fibre composite panels. The body pf the Fighter S was designed to control the airflow over every surface. Lift and drag characteristics are optimised using the same principles as Land Speed Record cars. There are no wings or spoilers. High speed stability is achieved by the aerodynamic body shape alone.

The Fighter S has an opulent interior trimmed with Wilton carpet, extra soft leather and extra thick soundproofing underlays.
