                | The Himiko is the latest offering from Mitsuoka, a Japanese
company which specializes in producing weird and wonderful cars
which are often loosely based on the designs of other manufacturers.
The Mitsuoka Himiko gets a good deal of its styling inspiration
from The Morgan Aero 8, although the rear end has some similarities
                  with the Wiesmann GT.

The Mitsuoka Himiko is based on a Mazda MX-5 (Miata) platform
and is powered by a 2.0 litre, 4 cylinder which develops 162
horsepower and 189 Nm of torque @ 5,000. The power is sent to
the rear wheels through a 6 speed manual gearbox.

The Mitsuoka Himiko is available in three different trim forms,
the Standard, the Premium and the Hi Premium. The interior of
all three Himiko models is essentially the same as the MX-5's
but with a few wood trim panels.

The Mitsuoka Himiko is equipped with a folding hardtop also
courtesy of the MX-5 donor car.
