The
electric two seater Venturi Fetish is the first car in a new
model range planned for the previously troubled sports car company.
The body is comprised of carbon fiber panels with scissor doors
covering a carbon and aluminium honeycomb chassis with extruded
aluminium front and rear sections.
The batteries, 100 of them, make up 1/3 of the Fetish's overall
weight (1099 kgs).
Because of the nature of electric motors all 162 lb ft of torque
is available from zero rpm, meaning power is delivered literally
instantly.
During braking the batteries are recharged helping to extend
the overall range to 200 miles, but the engineers are confident
300 miles will soon be possible.
