The Wiesmann GT MF5, like other Wiesmann vehicles, is essentially
a classically shaped body draped over a high-tech modern chassis
and drivetrain. In the case of the GT MF5 the drivetrain is
a BMW sourced 5 litre V10 which produces 507 hp @ 7,750 rpm
and 520 Nm of torque. The power is run through a seven-speed
sequential transmission to the rear wheels.
Visible changes to the GT MF5 over its lower-powered siblings
like the GT MF4 include a more aggressive front bumper with
larger air intakes, larger lateral air outlets behind the front
wheel, wider wheel arches both front and back, a greater overall
body length (by 8cm), a rear wing and a rear diffuser.
Inside the Wiesmann GT MF5 are specially designed bucket seats with excellent lateral support, by request there may
be tailored to the driver's and passenger's body contours. The
occupants safety is ensured by energy absorbing car body parts,
by a stiff aluminium monocoque including a side-collision protection
structure, and by the ABS combined with a dynamic stability
control system DSC.
