At the AERO 2011 show in Friedrichshafen, Germany, AutoGyro,
a company which specializes in building gyrocopters, unveiled
their latest model.
Called the Cavalon, the new model is AutoGyro's first
aircraft with side-by-side seating. The aerodynamic bodywork
hides an interior which is spacious, well equipped and
nicely trimmed.
The AutoGyro Cavalon's cockpit can be configured in a
variety of ways to suit the individual buyers needs and
budget. That means the dash can come with just the bare
essentials, or it can incorporate the latest GPS systems
and flat-screen monitors. The Cavalon's seats and pedals
can are individually adjustable to make sure everyone
is catered for, regardless of size.
Due to its large tank volume the AutoGyro Cavalon offers
up to 5 hours of flight time. And with a top speed of
112 mph (180 km/h) and a cruising speed of 90 mph (145
km/h) that means it can cover a considerable distance
for such a versatile aircraft.
Prices for the AutoGyro Cavalon start at around $90,000
(EUR62,000).
