The Suzuki RGV250 was the replacement for the RG250. The new Suzuki used a 90 degree V-twin two stroke engine mounted in a capable, race proven, twin beam aluminium chassis.

The RGV250 featured upside down forks, a gull-arm swingarm and dual 4 piston front calipers, advanced for its time.
The RGV250's engine was also technically superior to similar bikes of it's time, it featured ceramic coated cylinders, electronically controlled carburetors and electronic power valves.
To get the best out of Suzuki's RGV250 regular gear changes must be made to keep the engine in the narrow rev range where peak power is found.
