The
Zonda Cinque Roadster which Pagani unveiled in July 2009 is
the topless version of the Zonda
Cinque Coupe. And just like the hardtop model the Cinque
Roadster is limited to just five units.
The Zonda Cinque Roadster features all the same weight reduction
measures used on the Zonda Cinque coupe, and essentially the
only major difference is a redesignedcarbon-fibre
and titanium chassis to compensate for the lack of a roof. When
removed the roof of the Pagani Zonda Cinque Roadster stows away
neatly in the front cargo compartment.
Mounted behind the cockpit is a Mercedes-Benz AMG V12 engine
which produces 678 horsepower and 780 Nm or torque. The engine
features an ECU and traction control system by Bosch engineering,
and a titanium exhaust system coated with ceramic. The engine
is connected to a Cima six-speed sequential
transmission with differing drive modes which delivers the
power to the rear wheels.
To bring the Zonda Cinque Roadster to a halt Pagani have equipped
the vehicle with carbon-ceramic brakes from Brembo. Up front
are 380mm discs gripped by 6 piston calipers while at the rear
a set of 4 piston calipers are fitted.
To help further reduce weight many of the components of the
adjustable suspension system are made from either magnesium
or titanium.
