Adjustable joint pliers are a specially designed type of pliers which can be adjusted to fit different sized round, hexagonal flat or similar objects. Because of the adjusting joint the user can apply larger amount of pressure than would be possible using non-adjustable pliers when gripping oversized objects. Adjustable pliers usually have three or more size adjustments.
