An air screwdriver is, as the name suggests, a screwdriver which is powered by compressed air. An air screwdriver consists of a handle with a trigger-style mechanism for controlling the speed, and a switch for changing the rotation between clockwise and anti-clockwise.

At the end of an air screwdriver is a socket into which a range of different screwdriver tips can be inserted for use with different fixings.
