A chain pipe cutter is a tool that can be used to quickly and easily cut a pipe in a perfectly straight line. A chain pipe cutter is used by wrapping the chain around the pipe and then the handle is compressed to make the small cutting wheels in the chain dig into the outer edge of the tube. Then the tool is spun around the pipe while constant pressure is made on the handle to drive the cutting wheels deeper and deeper into the pipe until the cut is completed.

Chain pipe cutters are very similar in operation to standard manual pipe cutters, except chain pipe cutters use more cutting wheels.
