A corrosion assessment tool is a device used when assessing the corrosion (usually rust) to a vehicles body or frame. The tool usually consists of a scraper, small hammer and minature pry bar all moulded into one unit.

In the absence of a corrosion assessment tool a screwdriver and a small hammer can be used instead.
