A fan clutch holder is a specially designed tool which is used to help secure the pulley from rotating during the removal of the fan clutch. Different makes and model of vehicle require different designs and sizes of fan clutch holder.

There are fan clutch holder kits which have attachments to suit most vehicles, or adjustable fan clutch holders which will work on several different sizes.
