Identification clips are brightly colored clips which come in a variety of colors. They are used during electrical work (or other work with pipes and tubes) to help mark which wire goes where during disassembly.

For example, if you are dismantling a headlight and indicator assembly and need to mark which wires go to which socket (or connect to another wire), then you can use matching colored identification clips to temporarily, yet securely, mark and match the wire and its socket.
