A jump start pack is a portable roadside assistance tool which is designed to provide enough electrical energy to allow a car with a flat battery to be jump started - without the need for another car and jumper cables.

Jump start packs usually consist of a sturdy plastic body - which houses the integrated rechargeable battery, and a pair of thick leads (positive and negative) which have large crocodile clips at the end for attaching to the car's battery terminals.

Jump start packs often feature an integrated worklight, which is handy for jump starting a car at night and making sure you connect the cable correctly! Some jump start packs also have a built-in air compressor for inflating tires.

Portable jump start packs can be recharged using any home mains electricity socket.
