A Portable oil extractor is a device which is used to remove the oil from a vehicle's engine without the need for getting under the vehicle to remove the oil drain plug.

Portable oil extractors consist of a flexible tube which can be inserted into the engine, a pump for drawing out the oil, and a reservoir for holding the oil. Some portable oil extractors come without a reservoir in which case a separate container must be used.

Portable oil extraction units are often used to remove the oil from inboard boat engines where there is limited space underneath the engine.
