A slide hammer is a tool commonly used in vehicle body repair. A slide hammer works by applying a pulling force on the body panel (as opposed to a pushing force of a conventional hammer). By using a number of different attachments the user can hook onto various areas of a damaged panel and pull out creases and dents prior to more detailed repair and final painting.
