A transmission jack is a device used to help remove and support a vehicle's transmission system. There are two basic types: one for use when the vehicle is raised on a hydraulic jack and resting on jack stands, the other when the vehicle is raised on a lift. Transmission jacks can also be used for other tasks, such as removal and installation of gasoline tanks, exhausts, and suspension components.
