Trolley jacks provide a simple, and if correctly used, relatively safe way to lift a vehicle prior to repair or maintenance.

Aside from fixed vehicle lifts trolley jacks are one of the largest jacks used in automotive repair. Trolley jacks vary in size and maximum load capacity.

Never work under a vehicle supported solely by a trolley jack. Jack stands should be inserted under a suitable position and the vehicle lowered onto the jack stands before commencing work. The trolley jack can be left raised and in position to act as an additional backup safety measure in the event a jack stand fails.
