The Dodge Demon concept which went on display at the 2007 Geneva Motor Show was , according to Dodge, a "roadster with an attitude."

The awkward lines certainly stand out from other roadsters
The top Dodge sports car is of course the iconic Dodge Viper, but it carries a prohibitive price tag. The Demon is designed to be a more attainable desirable sports car.

While instantly recognisable as a Dodge product with the large distinctive grille and aggressive slanted headlights, the Demon displays a rather inharmonious design, eye-catching but not subtle or 'beautiful', but then again with Dodge's latest design ethos of "anything but cute" perhaps this was the desired result.

If the Dodge Demon were to enter production it would; firstly, almost certainly end any chance of the considerably more attractive Dodge Razor concept going production, and secondly, enter into a popular market which is rapidly gaining competitors. Probably its biggest selling point, depending on engine options, would be the fact that the Demon roadster concept displays more masculine, and controversial, styling than its rivals, the Pontiac Solstice, Saturn Sky and Mazda MX-5.

Inside the Demon is similar to most other roadsters, simple and efficient, "In the manner of timeless British sports cars, the interior of the Dodge Demon is purposely functional, not frivolous," said Dan Zimmermann – Dodge Demon Principal Interior Designer. "Everything relating to the driving experience is emphasized, while that which is not is made visually secondary."

Power for the Dodge Demon concept comes from a 2.4 litre 4 cylinder developing 172 horsepower running through a six-speed manual gearbox to the rear wheels. However if Dodge wanted to there is the possibility of incorporating a seriously impressive 300 hp 2.4 litre turbocharged engine into the Demon. Were this to happen it would almost certainly start a horsepower war amongst the roadster collective.
