For
2007, Buell is to return to their racing roots and offer a
privateer, race ready superbike to 50 lucky buyers. The Buell
XBRR is to be powered by a 150 bhp racing version of the V-twin
engine used in the XBR Firebolt.
Various engine modification kits will allow the XBRR to compete
in a variety of racing classes. The V-twin engine features
a dual downdraft throttle body fuel injection system, a ram-air
intake, 150 + horsepower and 100 ft. lbs. peak engine torque
at 6500 rpm. The racing bodywork is constructed from carbon
fibre.
