                | The
Jaguar XFR is the high performance version of the Jaguar
XF. Designed to compete with the some of the best sports
saloons on the planet like the BMW M5,
                  Audi RS6, Mercedes-Benz
                  E63 AMG and Cadillac
CTS-V, the XFR is equipped with a suitably potent engine.

Powering the Jaguar XFR is an all-new 5.0 litre V8 engine fitted
with a Roots-type twin vortex system (TVS) supercharger. This
                  engine develops 510 horsepower @ 6,000 rpm and 461 lb-ft (625Nm)
of torque @ 2,500 - 5,500 rpm. The engine is connected to a
6 speed automatic transmission driving the rear wheels. The
transmission is controlled using Jaguar's unique twist-style
electronic interface mounted in the centre console. With this
drivetrain the 2009 Jaguar XFR is capable of hitting 60 mph
in just 4.7 seconds. Top speed of the XFR is electronically
                  limited to 155 mph.

Other enhancements for the XFR over the standard XF include
an Active Differential Control and Adaptive Dynamics. These
systems work together to adjust the traction and suspension
systems for optimum performance. To give the XFR a more sporting
character the steering has been made more responsive and the
                  brakes have been upgraded.

Visual clues which give away the Jaguar XFR's performance potential
are subtle, and suit the understated nature of the car. Up front
is a revised and larger lower grille and chrome surrounds for
the intakes below the headlights. The hood gains two inset louvres
which are perhaps the most obvious visual clues. Down the sides
the XFR has been fitted 20" wheels and deeper side sills
which match nicely into the overall design of the car. At the
rear the car has been fitted with two twin-exit tailpipes on
either side of the bumper, a small boot lid spoiler, and a discreet
                  'R' badge.

The interior of the Jaguar XFR is relatively similar to the
standard car but with a few minor styling changes including
a dark colored mesh pattern for the dash surface, 'R' logos
for the leather seats and red needles for the rev counter and
                  speedometer.
