Lever hoists are ideal for use in a workshop or factory environment and they have an enclosed pinion gear with a heavy duty brake. They have a free chaining feature which allows slack chain to be taken up prior to the engagement of the ratchet arm. They are commonly available in sizes to bear safe working loads from 0.75 to 3 tonnes.
