The 2010 Detroit Motor show was the venue for the unveiling
of the GMC Urban Utility Concept. The concept was created
by GM's LAB design department.
Usually stuff from The Lab is just created to allow
GM's designers to stretch their artistic muscles - and
initially that was what the Urban Utility Concept appeared
to be.
However as it transpires the Urban Utility Concept was
actually a fully developed concept vehicle which was revealed
at the Detroit Show and given the more usable name of
'Granite'.
