The Ford Escort Mk-1 concept comes from Coventry University MA Automotive Design Graduate Rajesh Kutty and Benchmark Modelmaking Ltd.

The Escort Mk-1 concept follows in the footsteps of the many recent retro-styled concepts coming out of American and European design studios including the Ford Mustang, Dodge Challenger, Chevrolet Camaro, Ford GT40 and others.

These concept, and production, cars have been extremely popular both with designers and the general public often rekindling a long forgotten desire to own such a car.

The Concept Ford Escort Mk-1 from Benchmark is styled to look more like the successful rally car than the roadgoing model, incorporating the flared arches, race wheels (in this case 20"), integrated spotlights, and racing paintwork.
